There are many ways to "Grow Together" at THE AVENUE CHURCH!  You can start this process by any of the following ways:

1. Get Connected to The Avenue Church at a "New to the Avenue" Dinner!

Once every 2-3 months, the staff of THE AVENUE CHURCH hosts a "New to the Avenue" dinner for anyone who would like to know more about the church, its ministries, its staff, and how get involved.  A free registration gives you the opportunity to come to a catered meal, meet THE AVENUE CHURCH Staff and many other church members, and ask any questions you  may have.  Keep your eye on the weekly bulletin and the website to find out when the next dinner is scheduled and sign up!

2. "MERGE" Classes

Every few months, THE AVENUE CHURCH offers MERGE Classes for you to learn how you fit into God's plan for His world through this church.  They take place intermittently on Sunday mornings during the 9:30 or 11:00 Bible Study hour for two consecutive weeks.  EVERYONE is encouraged to attend all 4 classes in sequence.  Registration is free, so when you see them offered, be sure to sign up!

• 101 - "About the Avenue" - Learn the history of THE AVENUE CHURCH, its God-Given vision to Know God, Grow Together, and Serve the World, and how God has uniquely equipped our church to accomplish that vision.
• 201 - "How to Study the Bible" - God's desire for you is to grow deeper in your relationship with Him.  Doing that requires reading and studying the Bible.  This class will teach you how to study the Bible, how to use the tools that are available to you (Concordance, Lexicon, etc.), and how to create time for your relationship with God into your daily schedule.
• 301 - "Uniquely You" - God created each of us as an individual...no one else is exactly like us.  This class helps you explore who you are, and how God has uniquely gifted you to serve Him.
• 401 - "Discovering My Mission" - Each person has passions and sensitivities for particular areas of ministry...that's how God makes sure that no one does everything, but that everything gets done!  The 401 Class helps you sort through your interests, passions, and desires to learn where God wants you to employ your uniqueness  to make a difference for Christ in this world.

3.  LIFE Groups

LIFE Groups are gatherings of small groups of people from THE AVENUE CHURCH which meet all across Ellis County on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.  These groups study the Bible together, laugh together, cry together, pray together, and intermingle their lives with the lives of others in the group.  God designed you for connection to other people beyond the "surface," and these groups are a great way to do it!  If you're not already connected to a group of people in a LIFE Group, please CLICK HERE and fill out the form to get started.

4.  Service Ministries

Perhaps the best way to get to know someone is to serve with them.  When you're placed in close proximity to other people, working together to accomplish a common goal, you develop a bond of shared experience that glues you together like nothing else.  Serving others not only helps you bond with your fellow servants, but you bond with those you serve as well.  God has given you specific talents and abilities that He wants to use to bless others.  If you're not already involved serving, please CLICK HERE and fill out the form to get started.
